Workshop teaches Native American teens about suicide prevention

Sixty students from different tribes attended a weeklong workshop on suicide prevention organized by Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board. The initiative included presentations about signs of suicide, as well as drug-free living and music sessions. The program coordinator is hopeful that the workshop will pave the way for teens to spread the word about suicide prevention.
