After 14-year increase, ED imaging utilization falls

Imaging utilization in emergency departments steadily increased from 1993 to 2007, then fell from 2007 to 2012, according to an article in the American Journal of Roentgenology. The retrospective report evaluated radiology studies including CT, MRI, sonography, nuclear medicine studies and angiography.
