Exporting condensates could take time amid wait, questions, observers say

Oil producers in the Eagle Ford Shale could export condensates, even hundreds of thousands of barrels daily, but doing so will take time, observers say. As the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security has put some condensate export requests on hold, it is expected to dodge questions on how condensate is defined based on its American Petroleum Institute gravity, analysts say. Questions that are also often asked of the agency "might create more questions than answers," said Benjamin Salisbury, senior energy policy analyst with FBR Capital Markets.
