Phoenix construction projects set to go

The construction schedules for three mammoth projects in downtown Phoenix -- the $46 million Translational Genomics Research Institute; the $600 million expansion of Phoenix Civic Plaza; and the $1.2-billion, 20-mile-long light-rail system -- are expected to to overlap next year. City planners and business leaders are trying to figure out how to deal with traffic congestion and parking for hundreds of construction workers.
