$1B apartment complex planned for NYC's Mayflower Hotel block

The long-held mystery of what will become of the Mayflower Hotel block in Manhattan has been solved with Zeckendorf Development's announcement of a $1 billion project to build two limestone-covered apartment buildings. One will be 19 stories and the other 35 stories. The 886,000-square-foot complex will be called 15 Central Park West and plans to feature apartments ranging in price from $2 million for a one-bedroom, to $45 million for a larger pad with a terrace.
