Florida bank is latest casualty of financial crises

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. closed First Priority Bank, a Florida-based bank with six branches, late last week. The bank becomes the eighth in the U.S. to fail as the credit crisis and a weakening economy take hold. SunTrust Banks will assume the insured deposits of the failed bank.
