Idaho to enact law to help protect from underinsured motorists

Idaho's Department of Insurance will begin requiring insurers to offer bodily injury coverage for drivers injured by underinsured motorists. The law will take effect in January. Shad Priest, the deputy insurance commissioner, said the law would give everyone the chance to get such coverage and that it will offer "them some tools to make an informed decision that they didn't have previously."
