J&J gets subpoena over sales of bile-duct stents

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Massachusetts has issued a subpoena to Johnson & Johnson asking for information about the sales of its bile-duct stents, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. A spokeswoman for J&J's Cordis unit said the company is "cooperating and responding to the subpoena" and did not comment further. Other biliary stent companies, including Abbott Laboratories and Boston Scientific, are similarly cooperating with the U.S. Justice Department's investigation.
