Some Louisianans to get help understanding flood risks

Federal Emergency Management Agency representatives and city engineers in Slidell, La., will help residents learn to read the new FEMA flood maps that will be used to set insurance rates by elevation heights. The goal is to help homeowners learn what their risks are so they can make informed insurance decisions.
