Will other states follow California's Green Building Code?

California's first-in-the-nation Green Building Code could become a model for other states grappling with soaring energy costs and growing environmental concerns. Starting in 2010, all new construction in California will be required to reduce energy consumption by 15% and increase water efficiency by 20%. Property-management associations were largely supportive of the code and provided input on specific requirements.
