BASF hopes to get more than $2B in sales from biotech crops

BASF said it expects to gain more than $2 billion in annual sales from biotech crops developed under its joint venture with Monsanto. A company spokeswoman said BASF will make its plant biotechnology unit an operating division by 2011 or 2012 once its new products reach the market.
