Central banks' purchases of covered bonds hit €4 billion

The European Central Bank and other central banks have surpassed the €4 billion mark in their purchases of covered bonds, data show. Meanwhile, banks deposited more than €200 billion at the ECB on Sunday, an increase from previous deposits and the highest since early July. Banks also increased their borrowing from the ECB's overnight account from €114 million to €151 million.
