Common marketing "leaks" undermine sales

In most companies, more than 70% of leads generated through marketing are not pursued by sales, largely because of large-scale marketing campaigns that generate high numbers of leads but few real prospects. Some common marketing mistakes that reduce productivity in sales include targeting lead quantity, not quality; marketing too broadly; focusing on only short-term leads and abandoning prospects too soon.
