Oraya Therapeutics names former Carl Zeiss Meditec chief as CEO

Oraya Therapeutics chose Jim Taylor, former president and chief executive of Carl Zeiss Meditec, to replace Dr. Michael Gertner as president and CEO. The Newark, Calif.-based company developed the IRay system, a robotic device that treats wet age-related macular degeneration by delivering a localized dose of low-energy X-ray radiation.
