Report: Rural hospitals hard-pressed in health IT vendor search

A report from KLAS, a health care IT research firm, suggests that most executives and clinicians at small rural hospitals are not satisfied with health IT service providers when it comes to functionality. One concern is the delivery of computerized physician order entry systems, which has been implemented in only 21 critical access hospitals, according to the report.
