Survey: China's manufacturing posts biggest gain in a year

Domestic orders are driving a rapid increase in China's manufacturing activity, which reached its fastest rate of growth in a year last month, according to CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets' purchasing-managers index. "Manufacturing activity continues to accelerate and, importantly, order growth is being driven by the domestic economy," CLSA economist Eric Fishwick said. "Export prices lag, another sign of China looking inwards for growth."
