Teacher makes school-year resolutions

A high-school English teacher and author has compiled a list of school-year resolutions as he prepares to return to school. In this column, Larry Ferlazzo writes that he plans to make his lessons more fun, show students why his lessons are important to them, collaborate with the school's athletics coaches and teach students more life skills. Ferlazzo writes that he also wants to observe other teachers -- committing to one free period per month to learn from his peers.
