Teachers in Ariz. offer guidance to parents about homework

Educators in Arizona say they expect to communicate more often with parents this school year as a result of the transition to the Common Core State Standards. Teachers say they expect to coach parents on how to help students with their homework and offer more information about what students are doing in the classroom. So far, teachers say, the change has been well-received by parents who are eager to reinforce what their children are learning in school.
