N.C. camp helps students with autism experience music

Students with high-functioning autism are exploring music at a weeklong summer camp designed by special-education and music teachers. Held as part of the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina, the camp has students learning about various instruments and music styles and offers calming spaces, such as kinetic sand and a reading tent, for students to use if the activities trigger sensory sensitivities.
