District Attracts Teachers With Subsidized Apartments

To help lure teachers to pricey Silicon Valley, the Santa Clara Unified School District has opened the nation's first rent-subsidized apartment complex for public school educators. Some teachers are forced to split rental costs with friends or live far away from their schools because housing in the area is so expensive, a report says.
