Houston now meets state reporting standards for dropouts

Noting that Houston has made significant improvement in tracking its dropouts, the Texas Education Agency has reinstated the district's "acceptable" rating. The TEA had placed the district's rating in limbo following an audit of its unusually low dropout figures last year.
