Direct marketing to be king by 2012

By 2012, direct marketing, via Internet service providers, video games and providers of cable and satellite TV, will surpass the amount spent by traditional marketers in newspapers, consumer magazines and broadcasting, according to the Communications Industry Forecast from private-equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson. The report also projects that 2008 will mark the first time that ad spending on broadcast TV will surpass that of newspapers.
