Republican presidential candidate John McCain's campaign will spend $6 million for advertising on NBC Universal cable and broadcast properties during the Olympics, and Democratic contender Barack Obama's campaign will lay down $5 million, this article says. NBCU's coverage of the Games begin Friday, and the candidates' ads are slated to run in prime time, late-night and weekend-daytime pods.
