Post-traumatic stress disorder because of childbirth is getting more attention from mental health experts. A study of more than 900 U.S. mothers shows 9% met all formal criteria for PTSD. The findings could add to discussions on whether widespread screening is needed to identify and treat maternal mood disorders.
