VA adds seven nursing schools to academy

The Department of Veterans Affairs has added seven nursing schools to its VA Nursing Academy, with more partnerships in the works that could increase student enrollment by approximately 1,000 students nationwide. "One of the greatest challenges facing nursing programs is the lack of qualified faculty, so we are using hospital personnel to maximize our numbers of students," said a spokesman at Saginaw Valley State University, which is part of the collaboration.
