County health officials object to recycled-water plan in Burbank, Calif.

Burbank, Calif., planned to use recycled water to irrigate and maintain turf at some high-school athletic facilities in the area. However, county health officials objected to plans to use only reclaimed water at the new Burbank High. "This is a health-related issue," said Carlos Borja, program director for cross-connection and water pollution control. "Recycled water has inherent limitations."
