Hawker Beechcraft reports Q2 net income of $172.2M

Hawker Beechcraft reported net income of $172.2 million for the second quarter, even as net sales dropped from the same quarter last year. The quarterly profit was largely due to a $175 million gain on the company's repurchase of debt securities. The aircraft manufacturer delivered 24 business jets, 41 turboprop and 13 piston airplanes during the second quarter.
