Saint-Gobain to develop market for "smart" windows

France's Saint-Gobain, the largest glass maker in Europe, plans to develop a market for electrically charged "smart" windows. The glass uses electrochromism technology that allows windows to change color instantly, similar to light-sensitive sunglasses. The windows are currently installed on the Ferrari SpA's Superamerica sports car but could also be used in office buildings to control light and temperature.
