Stimulus funds will pay for projects in N.C.'s Cape Fear area

North Carolina's Cape Fear region is currently scheduled to receive $85 million from the economic-stimulus package, and officials say the state will eventually receive close to $6 billion in total. The federal funds will pay for solar energy and affordable housing projects, among other things. Transportation projects will receive most of the funding, officials said.
