There's an easy way to tell if someone's going to be a poor decision-maker, writes Tom Davenport. Just ask: Is this person a jerk? Obnoxious, self-centered people tend to make bad calls, he writes, because they have trouble learning from mistakes, listening to outside perspectives and keeping a clear head in emotional situations.
