Court opens door to almond pasteurization challenge

A federal appeals court overturned an earlier decision and said almond farmers can challenge a USDA rule requiring that they pasteurize the nuts. Pasteurization has been required since 2007 to address food safety concerns, but farmers of raw and organic nuts say they are harmed by the rule.
