Dry summer takes bite out of landscaping businesses

The dry weather this summer has taken a toll on commercial landscaping businesses, such as Shawn's Lawns in Beverly, Mass. Another problem is the slow economic rebound has forced people to cut costs, and landscaping expenses are some of the first to go, owner Shawn Wear said. He said aerating a lawn can reduce heat stress.
