Google, Verizon: There is no pact for preferential service

Google has issued a denial of a New York Times report describing a deal between Google and Verizon Communications that would stymie Net neutrality by offering superior Internet service for a price. The companies are reportedly nearing an agreement that might offer a model for how to resolve the Net neutrality issue. Verizon is also denying there is such a deal.
