HP, musicians team up to promote better PC sound quality

HP has tapped several well-known musicians in an ad campaign promoting a new music processor that enhances the playback sound from a computer. Musicians, such as Dr. Dre, Weezer and Train, appear in a variety of television commercials and Web videos. HP is hoping the multiplatform approach will reel in the Generation Y audience, who are more likely to value better sound quality, said Fred Bullock, vice president of marketing for HP's Personal Systems Group in the Americas.
