Rail car component manufacturers form a joint venture

Two rail car component makers, Amsted Rail and Faiveley Transport's U.S. subsidiary Ellcon National, have agreed on a joint venture. The project will marry Ellcon's braking parts and Amsted's bogie and coupler components, giving parent company Faiveley "direct access to the global freight market through Amsted Rail," said Robert Joyeux, Faiveley Transport chairman.
