CMS issues about $400 million in EHR incentive payments as of July

The CMS as of last month has enrolled almost 77,000 providers in its Medicare and Medicaid EHR programs and has paid out about $400 million in meaningful use incentives. "We will be working closely with the policy committee as well as ONC to understand what these data say to us and how we should interpret them so we can translate them into something more programmatic," said CMS official Robert Tagalicod.
