Analysis: Female video game leads face stereotypes

The Feminist Frequency’s latest installment of its Damsels in Distress trope series on video games takes a look at games that have female lead characters embarking on missions. Games with female leads are uncommon, and those with female protagonists working to save male characters like Super Princess Peach, a character who had previously been kidnapped and rescued in over a dozen Mario Brothers' games, are extremely rare and full of gender stereotypes, according to this video.
