Analysts see investments in converged systems on the rise

Big businesses in the U.S. will shell out more than $3.8 billion over the next year on converged systems, which combine computing, storage and networking hardware into a pre-validated stack and are becoming a popular new tool for addressing a range of workloads, according to a report from the consulting firm Technology Business Research. The report found that converged systems are catching on across a variety of industries, with the average firm planning to budget nearly $1 million for pre-integrated systems.
