Boeing takes older 747s on trade-in

Airlines are selling back their aging 747 planes to Boeing when they purchase its new 747-8, but it remains to be seen how much the trade-in program will boost sales of the new planes, which have seen low demand. Korean Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, and Air China all recently bought 747-8s, trading in older 747s to do so.
