City in Kan. plans electrical upgrades after girl is injured

Replacements of wiring and other elements of the electrical system in downtown Salina, Kan., are planned following the injury of an 11-year-old girl in May. Salina's insurance would pay as much as $1 million per incident, said Nancy Schuessler, the city's risk manager. The girl was shocked during a thunderstorm, and an attorney for her family said that an investigation is underway to determine what caused the incident.
