Court rejects challenge against Shell's spill response plans in Alaska

A federal court rejected a lawsuit filed by conservation groups alleging that Royal Dutch Shell's oil spill response plans for the company's Beaufort and Chukchi seas drilling projects in Alaska violated environmental laws. The Department of the Interior's approval process for the company's plans was sound, U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline ruled.
