Eurozone retail sales slip in June

Retail sales in the eurozone retreated in June for the first time in three months as the regional economy continued to struggle to emerge from recession. However, the June figure "is probably just a correction after the strong increase in May and not the start of a renewed downward trend," said Peter Vanden Houte, chief eurozone economist at ING.
