Lawmakers introduce bill to study next-generation grid recovery solutions

A bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers has introduced legislation that would launch a sweeping assessment of the nation's energy infrastructure with an eye toward strengthening its capabilities through smart grid technologies. The Saving More American Resources Today Grid Study Act was first proposed by Congressmen Donald Payne, D-N.J., in response to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
