Living architecture strategies encouraged in resilient design challenge

The use of green roofs and other green spaces as part of resilient design is being promoted by the annual CitiesAlive Green Roof and Wall Conference in San Francisco from Oct. 23 to Oct. 26. The "CitiesAlive Student Design Challenge" will invite post-secondary students and graduates to create a new, resilient design for a community center in the city using green roofs and other types of living architecture. The deadline for design submissions is Sept. 22.
