A new nanomaterial, named "giant surfactant" by its creators at the University of Akron, has the potential to revolutionize chips, which could allow spacing of components below 10nm. The material comprises individual nanoparticles that self-assemble, forming a thin film on semiconductor crystals. The researchers hope the surfactant will help advance computing power.
