Semimetal compound could be used as a thermoelectric material, researchers say

Researchers in Japan have discovered giant magnetoresistance effects in working with copper/silver selenide, a layered semimetal compound, that could lead to applications in spintronics. The material has a high thermoelectric efficiency, they report.
