Teacher vows to stay in summer mode during the school year

Teacher Jessica Cuthbertson is committing to remaining her "summer self," the more relaxed better version of herself than the person she becomes during the school year. In this blog post, Cuthbertson writes that she resolves to schedule a personal planning period, cultivate relationships inside and outside of the classroom, turn off the computer and get more rest. "After a break that includes rest and time away from our classrooms, we return ready to do things better," she writes.
