University, businesses to help develop STEM curriculum for group of Ill. districts

A group of Illinois school districts have entered into a partnership with Aurora University -- as well as scientists and business people in the area -- to develop an elementary- and middle-school curriculum based on science, technology, engineering and math. "It's a direct alignment to the real world. You can see this is not your typical science class," said Allison Sherman, director of curriculum for Indian Prairie District 204.
