White House vetoes ban on sales of certain Apple devices

The Obama administration has overruled a U.S. International Trade Commission order to bar Apple from selling some older iPhones and iPads that the commission says violate Samsung Electronics patents. Trade Representative Michael Froman says in a letter to the commission that his rejection is based on authority from President Barack Obama.
