Windstream: Keeping Internet humming at hotels

Hospitality industry data traffic nearly tripled in 2012 for AT&T, a statistic not lost on regional telecom Windstream, which services about 1 million rooms with Wi-Fi at a time when the average traveler carries three Internet-ready devices. The explosion in demand from hotels has put Windstream and other telecoms on their toes, executives say. "The technology is changing so quickly, it’s hard for hotels to keep up with the bandwidth," Windstream's Chris Davis said.
